In April of 2006, I had a kidney transplant. My wife--She Is My Everything--gave me one of hers. You can't imagine how grateful I am. I wanted to get back into shape, had been a swimmer in college, and had a good buddy who was into triathlons. He loaned me a bike and I was off.
